Blessed beyond belief to have been given the amazing opportunity of going to East Africa with my brother Andy. This trip came about most unexpectedly as have most of my international travels. I still feel in awe of how the pieces all fell together and can’t hardly believe I’ll be boarding a plane in 27 days. I wrestled with the decision for a bit before coming to the conclusion that this trip will be really good for me and in turn good for those around me. My heart and passion for people and travel is already sparking such joy in me. Feels good to be coming alive again. I hope this is just the beginning, the tip of the iceberg in terms of what’s ahead. My only hope next time is that they’ll be a little guy on either side of me for those long flights. Miracles happen, right?
*I’ll post details of the trip as I learn them. currently I’m just looking at a spontaneous adventure. no expectations
my heart is so glad for you! wanderlust is a constant companion and how beautiful that you’ll be able to tap into it again in KENYA!
Howard Thurman said, “Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”
Can’t wait to see where this adventure leads you, it sounds like a wonderful and fulfilling opportunity. Looking forward to more details!
While you’re there keep an eye on the political/safety situation and stay clear of the coast. If you get a chance hop on a plane (orange is cheapest) and go to Zanzibar across the boarder. I promise it won’t disappoint!
Safari njema!
I’m really happy for you! You’re surely going to enjoy it to the max
I love this post and can’t wait to go travel East Africa with you!
I’m so excited for you!
I happened upon your posts today and enjoyed them. I lived in southwest Kenya for a year doing volunteer medical work. Judging by your writing and pictures it seems you’ll soak up everything the experience has to offer! It is truly a beautiful place.
