This week I’ve constantly been reminding myself as well as being reminded of the blessings in my life, all those beautiful things I don’t ever deserve.

It’s easy to get caught up in what I don’t have. Things both missing and taken. But I don’t have to look far before I’m humbled again by these precious gifts.

From a bag full of sour cherries to mum driving 5 hours one way just to help me catch up on my overwhelming work load (w/ the biggest rhubarb ever). To the silly littles that bounce off the walls nearly 24/7.

Much time is being spent sitting at the river these days in reflection and gratitude. Each day that goes by I’m more aware of the gift of gratefulness.

  1. Gratefulness. Such beauty in that. Your thoughts seem to bring you peace, and that is so wonderful.

Also, what a bounty of cherries and rhubarb! Beautiful!

  2. Your gratefulness is contagious & so appreciated. Your attitude on life (amidst struggle) is refreshing. AND you inspire me to work harder…little in life has the ability to do that. So, thank you!

  3. Good words, some days it can be so easy to get caught up in mourning the things and people we have lost but it’s important to have those losses to sweeten the blessings in our lives.
I bet your little one loved scrubbing the paint off his face 🙂

  4. It was a pleasure to hang with you for 10 minutes today. Hope to see you again. Love this site, too. You have a very beautiful life!

  5. Hello Bekah, I just discovered your photographs…they are so beautiful and full of peace. I’m not particularly hip to the i-phone/tech jive, but I’m wondering if your photos are taken with an i-phone or digital camera. Hmm…I suppose those things are the same…
Anyhow, I think your work is beautiful and full of love and kindness.

  6. i took up the habit of writing down a list of things I’m grateful for every night before sleep and it works miracles for my mood. You realize that even the worst of days has some nice sides and life smiles at you. To people with depression or sadness I always recommend this. But too often people just want to sit in a corner and complain instead of making an effort to be really happy.

    1. I actually didn’t do it. When I thought I would I was under the impression that whole 30 was more of a health cleanse similar to things I’ve done in the past. The more I learned I realized its more of a jump start weight loss program that I’m pretty opposed to and wouldn’t recommend. I could go on for days so maybe ill make a post on health soon.

What results are you looking for specifically? Weight loss or general health?
