Vision.

After a good run I had the urge to do a headstand. I think my brain needed more oxygen. A feeling I get often, makes me feel like a kid plus I liked the view.

“Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart, for it is now that God favors what you do. Always be clothed in white, and always anoint your head with oil. Enjoy life with your wife, whom you love, all the days of this meaningless life that God has given you under the sun–all your meaningless days. For this is your lot in life and in your toilsome labor under the sun. Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.”
(Ecclesiastes 9:7-10)

1/ Healthy mind/strong body 2/ the simple joy of a new candle 3/ gifts from across the miles that tug at my heart (thankful for friends who get me) 4/ wool socks 5/ you (everyone reading this)

*what inspired you today?

  1. I’ve been scanning your blog and I have to say that I am so impressed by your committment to gratitude. That’s something that I’ve been seeking lately- instead of striving for happiness, I’m striving for a grateful heart. It makes more sense to me that way.

  2. I needed to hear Ecclesiastes 9:7-10! I’ve been having a lack of joy in doing my day to day routine. Thanks for the encouragement. God’s Word is my only source of hope right now.

  3. 1/ Sunday liturgy at my Grandfather’s church 2/ sweet sweet neighbor’s dog 3/ warmth and sunshine 4/ Peter moving to America in 24 days 3/ warm tea on a cold morning! 🙂 wish I could do a head stand…never quite worked out how to pull those off!

  4. I love that passage! Everyone always talks about Ecclesiastes as being the depressing book…but this is always what I think of.

I’m thankful for ~working hard ~my new (just bought) Peter Bradley Adams album ~gingerbread granola ~seeing healing in my family

  5. I love your blog! It’s an inspiration to me daily and puts me in a good mood! Thank you for this daily reflection and joy-sustaining in the small things that matter. 🙂
