Listening. Gregory Allen Isakov, First Aid Kit and Josh Ritter

Following. #YesAllWomen

Reading. Why Does He Do That?
and The Brothers K

(Weather it’s personal experience or someone close I think just about everyone can relate to knowing someone in the throws of an abusive relationship. This book is a really informative resource to dispel some of the myths and patterns.)

Loving. The birth story of Emily and Tims little Brave.

Enjoying. Goat milk caramels from Big Picture Farm, a favorite treat.

Sharing. Some thoughts on life and motherhood on MotherMag today.

Sporting. Lots of vintage denim these days and worn in tshirts.

Focusing. This moment here and now being faithful and content in the small mundane things of life. Snuggling littles, building forts, tending animals, sewing/mending…

Quote (shared by a friend via instagram). “Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.” -Melody Beattie

  1. Those jeans! Vintage? Really? I also try for thrifted, high waisted, light wash jeans but they never end up looking like that. Good find (as are the rest of the links, books, songs).

  2. I just love the joy in your face in some of those shots of Brave’s birth story. I totally cried when I read it. Good friend, you are!!

  3. I really loved what you had to say in the mothermag article about being grateful and content with the blessings you have. That’s a message not often heard in a consumer society, and we need to hear it more often.

  4. Thank you for sharing these slices of life here. It is always inspiring and peaceful to look at your pictures.
Did you learn to take care of goats by yourself? I’m impressed (in a good way of course).
    Take care

  5. You and I seem so different by my estimation, but I find the things that you share here so valuable none the less. Thanks for that.
And ditto Georgia on the MotherMag interview, I found your responses quite refreshing.

  6. A great quote. It makes me appreciate the power of gratitude more than before. It used to be making sure I could pick exactly 5 things and recite them in a sentence that starts with”I’m thankful for…” . But you’re right, it’s so much more.
