wow wow wow wow wow wow wow. BLESSED HUMBLED and GRATEFUL have been the most frequently used words since monday. my heart is so full and overwhelmed.

SOLD OUT is the theme over on my new shop. I wasn’t planning on a restock till the first of NEXT month. rethinking my strategy currently while I fill orders for all my special pieces. hoping to have some new things up in the next few weeks.

(bitter) to see all these labors go out my door. (sweet) to think of all the projects to come…

photos were taken by my incredibly supportive friend Whitney at Whitney Neal Photography

a MILLION thanks to you who have supported in any way.

I’m speechless.

I set out for this week with one intention and many goals. Amazed by what was accomplished and the progress made by my attempt at homeschooling.

Yes, today marks the first finished week of homeschool kindergarten for T. I was taken off guard by how much he already knew but especially by how quickly he’s learning.

I’m tired no doubt and nervous as to weather I can maintain. So many full time jobs for one person.

Grateful for the freedom we have to pursue what our hearts desire. I’m just not quite ready to ship these precious littles separately to be taught by someone who doesn’t know them like I do. We’ll see what time tells.

Aside from that I’ve been doing a detox on our belongings. I’ve turned every drawer and box over and weeded out everything I could. I feel like I can breathe again and so ready for a simple and colder season.

The kitchen has turned out a few gems itself. Cherry tart to roasted salsa. I didn’t follow a recipe per usual but promised I’d attempt to share the method.

Roasted salsa (to taste):
Tomatoes halved
Onions quartered
Hot peppers cut in chunks
Garlic cloves peeled and halved

Salt / pepper / lime juice /cilantro

Line a baking pan with parchment. Lay veggies cut side up in single layer. Roast at 400 degrees till onions are translucent and tomatoes just barely charred. I removed the tomato skins after they roasted but that’s not necessary. Blend and add seasoning to taste.

Rest time.

This + that (oddities)

The odd (possibly risque) things I find beauty in. A slightly different perspective that I don’t often share. I’m continually fascinated by the way I process and view my everyday. The camera is such a gift.

The last few weeks have been somewhat of an awakening (changing season). Reminders of how important intentional living is. In everything everyday, with purpose. Wholeness vs Happiness. Simplicity + the basics – love/compassion.

True self and giving from that.

Going to break these posts down so I don’t overwhelm anyone.

A few months back my dear friend Lisa Moir contacted me asking if I’d be interested in helping shoot a lookbook for Taylor Stitch‘s upcoming woman’s line. A trip to SF…? DUH! I Had a great time kicking it around SF all last week with these talented kids.

I met Lisa via Tumblr awhile back. She contacted me with the most kind words having much in common. We’ve only chatted occasionally since then. I was delighted to find her even more lovely in person. A beautiful and kind soul who treated me like a queen. Grateful for her friendship.

Quality and handmade in CA. I’ve been a fan of what these guys are doing for awhile now. Really inspiring to meet them and learn more about their background and how the company came to be. Wishing them the best of success on the upcoming line.

A few adventure from the first few days.

Outerlands cafe w/ Justin + Lisa // The General Store (so much inspiration) // Quality time bundled on the beach searching for treasures to bring back for the boys (success!) // Heath Ceramics + Blue Bottle coffee(NTS: not to be consumed on an empty stomach) // flour + water // Ramen shop.
