Days like today are few and far between but they have the power to carry me for some time. Grateful for all that was accomplished. The beautiful weather the hard work and now the tired boys sitting at my feet listening to Joni Mitchell on vinyl.

*penny for five things you’re grateful for today?

  1. Your pictures are lovely, as always.

    Thankful for:
    1. leaving work earlier than usual
    2. mini peanut butter cups
    3. homemade salsa
    4. hilly roads and driving through fog
    5. encouraging words at times when I need them most

  2. pour over coffee at home
sun pouring through the windows this morning
    a dog to walk with
    doing work I enjoy
    falafel for dinner

I love that you’re all listening to vinyl Joni Mitchell; sounds lovely.

  3. -happy teenage faces in the morning
    -microscopes
-a train ride with a view
    -positivity
-gorgeous photos (and the design!) of this blog that transport me away from the bustle of the city (thanks)

  4. Thankful for:

-my kids who teach me about so many things
-all my furry babies because they have gotten me through more than one rough day no human could
-getting to do what I want most days
-the ability to laugh so hard it hurts
-the faith that no matter the bumps in the road, great fantastic things are coming up

    BELIEVE! 🙂

    1. –pre-dawn walk with a friend
      –cups of tea
      –shearling slippers
–husband spending his dinner break driving to and from the house to give me a kiss
–chatting with my little brother on his 25th birthday

  5. I recently heard a quote a lady shared at my bible study. It goes,

“What if you woke up today with only the things you thanked God for yesterday?”

It seemed like such an easy concept to grasp yet the statement was so profound. It made me realize how tempting it’s to have an attitude of entitlement instead of gratitude.

So I’ve learned to be thankful for:

    God’s grace
    Bible Study Fellowship
    My daughter’s laugh
    Playing frisbee with my dog
    The rush of cycling

  6. Bekah, I am a new fan of your blog and I must admit, I’m bit obsessed. I love the way you choose to live your life. It is beautiful and such an inspiration! I wish you many more days like today.

    Today I am grateful for:
    1) my family. Though my parents separated a few months ago, we’re finally on the road to recovery.
    2) the peaceful rain outside my window
    3) the cup of hot tea next to me
    4) my love/hate relationship with my major, architecture
    5) an evening dedicated to a little me-time

  8. New follower of your blog. Really like it. I do the five things a lot with my little sister. Forces you to look at the little things – to slow down and feel gratitude.

    My five things today:

    1. Enjoying a good cup of coffee without rushing
    2. Paid time off with my new position at work
    3. Warming up outside and I won’t have to scrape my car when I go out later
    4. It’s knitting night!
    5. The awesome family and friends I have the fortune of having in my life.

Man, I could probably do 10! But, I’ll save some for later. 🙂

  9. Today, I’m grateful for…
my beautiful family (my only friends and closest companions),
    unmade beds,
    solitude,
    new books,
    and…
    third-life revelations.

  10. Today I am thankful for:
    1. Snow
    2. My sweet boy’s offer of a warm morning hug
    3. My chunky, cozy handknit scarf
    4. Patience
    5. Your penny, for helping me focus on gratitude. 🙂

  11. the boundless grace of God through Christ
    being my own boss
growing closer to, not further from, family and friends
    free travel!
the ability to help people when they don’t expect it from anyone

God bless you and your boys, Bekah.

  12. Grateful for:
    – great afternoon with my kiddos outside
    – yummy fire baked pizza
    – no rain
    – orange tulips
    – listening to those same kiddos giggle under their quilt with a flashlight long after lights out!

  13. My boys, they make life worthwhile;
    Wonderful hubby who has put up with me for 25 years and counting;
    Our health;
    My kitty who thinks he is a dog;
    The ability to create; and
Decluttering our home one day at a time to have a simpler, more meaningful life

    I couldn’t stop at 5!
